About the role

Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Responsible for operating power industrial truck to transport material within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operates power industrial truck to transport material within the facility.
  • Routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and computers.
  • Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Learns to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy.
  • Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound.
  • Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations.
  • Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations.
  • Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
  • Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds.
  • Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with RF equipment for transporting, receiving and loading functions.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment.
  • Possess Full knowledge of all function within own area.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Certification on powered industrial trucks sit down, dock stocker and powered pallet jacks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possess Full knowledge of all function within own area.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Certification in operating various type of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks) is a plus.

Skills

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to operate various types of forklifts.
