Forklift Operator
About The Role
Forklift Operators will be responsible for operating electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices, such as forklifts or clamps, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials to supply production lines with fresh, frozen, and dry raw materials.
Accountabilities
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Records receiving of materials using a VMU, accurate recording of information is critical.
- Weighs materials or product and records weight on production issue sheets.
- Unloads/transloads trailers of supplies verifying count and condition.
- Operates VMU, records receipts and responds to production demands.
- Prepares, writes, reads and understands reports and daily paperwork completed by forklift operators.
- Strictly adheres to FIFO when issuing inventory to production lines.
- Delivers and receives items from storage freezer area.
- Strictly adheres to all company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures, using proper lifting techniques, wearing effectively all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, proper walking/stepping and all other safety procedure related to your duties.
- Adheres to all company and plant policies related to GMP’s and maintains warehouse in accordance with company and AIB standards.
- Adheres to all company and plant policies, work rules and procedures.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for meeting performance expectations of this position.
Skills
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Bills of Lading, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Compensation Package
$24.04 - $25.04 Starting at 24.04 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
