Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned service jobs with precision and dedication.
- Collaborate with the Road Lead Mechanic, ensuring effective communication on any technical challenges or unusual service problems.
- Attend service training classes to stay up to date on new products and refresh your knowledge on less encountered ones.
- Submit daily paperwork promptly, including timecards and maintenance reports with customer signatures.
- Maintain open communication with dispatchers and the service office, updating them on job status and availability for new assignments.
- Identify jobs that should be sent to our shop for repair, providing valuable recommendations based on complexity or safety reasons.
- Develop and nurture relationships with territory sales representatives, keeping them informed of potential sales opportunities.
- Always uphold safety rules and policies, ensuring a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Very good skills in repairing powered industrial equipment.
- Strong customer orientation with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Time management expertise to handle multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with laptop fundamentals.
- Ownership of necessary tools for repairs, per our recommended tool list.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Certification to operate material handling equipment.
- Commitment to the company's vision and mission.
Qualifications
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds, and rarely up to 100 pounds.
- Frequent standing, reclining (lying on back), kneeling, walking, twisting, reaching, and using feet to repair and operate machinery.
- Constant use of hands and fingers to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, computer equipment, and other office equipment.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Listening, speaking, and writing skills to communicate with customers and service office.
