About the role

JBS is seeking an hourly Forklift Driver/Warehouse Tech for their first shift team. The position offers a starting wage of $20 per hour and includes benefits such as paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
  • Provide labor support to other areas as needed.
  • Identify and report any safety concerns or hazards.
  • Participate in receiving, unloading, and inspecting shipments for damage and conformity to purchase orders.
  • Stock products, plan storage locations, and ensure proper product placement.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Participate in annual physical inventories.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition.
  • Operate a computer and assigned software to input data and generate reports.
  • Make recommendations for proper storage, inventory, and warehousing procedures.
  • Work shifts as scheduled, arriving on time, and completing assigned tasks.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification preferred.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Three or more years in warehouse processes.
  • Understanding of inventory management and warehouse functions.
  • WMS and barcode scanner experience preferred.
  • Display strong work ethics and positive attitude.
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others.
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment

  • Activities: Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, crouching, kneeling intermittently.
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Repetitive Motion: Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
  • Physical Strength: Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
  • Working Conditions: Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold.
