Forklift Driver (Tucson, AZ)
About the role
As a Forklift Driver at Jensen Infrastructure, you will be a key team member working outdoors to move products in and out of the shop and safely load delivery trucks. You will become the product expert—knowing what items are, how they’re loaded, and where they go in inventory. You’ll collaborate with the yard, production, and office teams, and interact with truck drivers and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Choose and utilize the proper forklift based on weight to load, unload, transport, and stack material in appropriate areas.
- Apply a basic understanding of load capacities, weight distribution, and safe rigging practices.
- Operate forklifts safely in production areas, adhering to speed limits and safety policies.
- Move finished products and supplies from departments to the yard or to trucks for loading.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and maintain organized, clean work areas.
Requirements
- Enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
- Understands the controls and limitations of forklifts.
- Experience operating multiple size lifts and moving large, awkward, or heavy products.
- Excellent judgment regarding weight limitations and safety.
- Safety-conscious for yourself and your team, avoiding shortcuts.
- Previous experience operating heavy-capacity forklifts in manufacturing, construction, or precast concrete environments is preferred.
