About the role
The Associate Technician Shipping/Receiving & Distribution plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics' distribution center. This position involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stores product, verifies accurate quantity, lot number, expiration dates, and product part number.
- Picks and packs product for shipment, creating and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed for orders.
- Inspects materials for orders to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Reconciles inventory and performs cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned.
- Operates powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
- Solves routine problems in the work area with the management team.
- Aids in organizational improvement projects like lean and quality initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience.
- Strong attention to detail and safety in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Lifting: Up to 50 lbs, multiple times during an 8-to-10-hour shift.
- Push/Pull/Bend/Twist: Multiple times, up to 2 to 4 hours continuously during a 8-to-10-hour shift.
- Driving/Operating Equipment: Powered equipment (Forklift, reach truck/cherry picker) is required and must be able to cross train and work in multiple areas of the facility as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of basic computer operations and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
