About the role
The Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver I plays a crucial part in the efficient operation of Rexel USA's warehouse in Fremont, CA. This role involves handling customer orders, managing inventory, and operating delivery vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a safe and secure work environment
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety rules
- Receive and verify incoming materials and shipments
- Stock and prepare orders for delivery
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Perform inventory counts and maintain equipment
- Handle deliveries and ensure materials are correct and undamaged
- Complete paperwork and sign delivery receipts
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
- Operate delivery vehicles to transport materials
- Inspect and return materials from customers and suppliers
- Train new drivers and provide mentorship
Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Prior warehouse experience a plus
- Valid driver's license
- At least 21 years old
- Pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record checks
- Medical certificate within 30 days of hire
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
- General knowledge of electrical products helpful
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle basic issues and problems
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong safety knowledge and adherence to laws and regulations
- Willingness to travel to offsite locations
Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Preferably certified to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
- Pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
- Pass a medical examination as required by law
- Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
- Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Must not have had a medical condition that would affect job performance
Skills

Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $19.80 to $24.76 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.

The schedule for this role varies based on the needs of the department and may include evening and weekend work.
