Forklift Driver - 2nd SHIFT

About the role
This full-time, 2nd shift position operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The Reach Forklift Operator is responsible for operating reach power industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator ensures safe and efficient vehicle operation while meeting company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Input data accurately into WMS.
- Efficiently stack and store product in appropriate areas; maintain an organized work area.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
- Prepare freight for operations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report quality variances.
- Support 4C’s: Customer Satisfaction, Clean and Safe Work Environment, Complete Risk Prevention, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
- Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks; ensure proper documentation accompanies freight.
- Maintain tight inventory control and security; assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Maintain the facility, work area, and equipment in a clean, neat, orderly manner; comply with safety rules and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials from elevated racking using a reach forklift or other power equipment.
- Inspect and report issues on forklifts or other equipment daily; perform daily OSHA safety checklist inspections.
- Maintain an active forklift certification.
- Correct pallets improperly stored at elevation and address unsafe/tipped pallets.
- Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Participate in physical inventories as assigned.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as assigned.
- Change fuel tanks on forklifts as assigned.
- Repair pallets, trailers, and truck bays as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 6 months of experience working in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
- Able to operate a stand-up Reach Truck while placing and removing pallets from elevated storage media.
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Skills
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including use of RF scanners and WMS functions.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform other product-handling duties.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- 1-2 years of proven forklift experience.
- 1-2 years of proven stand-up reach lift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Able to operate an Electric Pallet Jack and Dock Loader (Pacer) when needed.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Pay
The expected base pay for this position is $23.25 per hour.
