Forklift - 2nd Shift

Forte is seeking dedicated production and manufacturing workers with a commitment to excellence in safety, quality, customer service, and teamwork. This role involves operating a forklift to ensure materials and products are in the right place for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to lift, pull, and push materials onto forks from elevated heights, navigating throughout the plant, including populated and small areas.
• Perform safety procedures, including wearing and securing a harness.
• Read and interpret schedules and tickets.
• Use measuring tape to the 16th of an inch.
• Work and maneuver at elevated heights up to 20 feet.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and perform regular maintenance to ensure safety.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facility.
• Occasionally assist on the production floor operating machines as trained.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Valid certification to operate a forklift preferred.
• Preferably one year of experience in a manufacturing setting in a similar role.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Physical Requirements

• Depth perception required.
• Climbing on and off the lift.
• Continuous exposure to jarring and driving over uneven pavement.
• Constantly getting on/off the lift truck to manually lift, slide, or flip door skins (maximum 50 lbs.), bending, lifting, and twisting.
• Picking up materials and disposing as necessary.

Schedule

2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:25 PM–1:55 AM. Overtime may be required on Fridays.
