Forklift 1st Shift

About the role

At Davis Creek, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that raw materials are moved accurately from receipt to inventory to production. Your work is essential to maintaining a stocked and efficient manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Move raw material into inventory once receiving is complete
• Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to make space available for new inventory
• Absorb and assist the receiving clerk with unloading incoming raw material
• Return and restock material to inventory
• Absorb and assist in disposal and stocking of non-inventoried items including cardboard, trash, and scrap material
• Provide material requirements to the Manufacturing team
• Operate forklift and material moving equipment
• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure inventory is protected
• Use a computer or electronic equipment for data entry

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 3-6 months of related experience
• Must be licensed or able to be licensed to operate forklift and 4D equipment
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Chauffeur's license
• Ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper
• Physical Requirements: Stand and walk for the full shift; frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements; lift and move materials up to 50 lbs; depth perception and ability to adjust focus; wear all required safety equipment; able to work in a noisy environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts
