Forging Technician

About the role

We are currently seeking a Forge Technician to join our team at our Irvine, CA location. In this role, you will support press operators by performing a variety of tasks essential to the forging process of high-performance materials used in jet engine components for the aerospace industry.

Schedule & Pay

• Weekend 1st Shift (Fri-Sun): 4:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• $23–$28/hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal stock for forging by staging materials, positioning heated metal stock on forging dies, and removing hot forgings from the dies
• Complete quality assurance inspections, production records, and part tracking documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and assemble thermonuclear wiring in accordance with work instructions and quality standards
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment while following all safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow written work instructions
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials as required by the position
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures
• CAD programs (AutoCAD and/or NX preferred)
• Teamcenter is a plus
