Your responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on forging equipment such as presses, hammers, furnaces, and material handling systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on forging machinery.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Maintain and support industrial robotics used in forging processes, including programming adjustments and fault recovery.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting including motors, drives, sensors, wiring, and control systems.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and complies with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as needed to support production improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
Your profile
- Proven experience in maintenance of forging or heavy industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
- Experience working with industrial robotics systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, etc.).
- Solid electrical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC systems, controls, drives, sensors).
- Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- No college degree required.
- Technical training, certifications, or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in forging, manufacturing, or heavy industrial maintenance strongly preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in high-temperature, high-noise forging environments.
- Experience with servo systems and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA lockout/tagout procedures.
