This position is located in Felton, CA, within the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). Requirements

• Medical clearance prior to hiring, including a comprehensive medical evaluation (medical history review, physical examination, vision, hearing, spirometry, and exercise treadmill tests).
• Registered Professional Forester License (must provide a copy prior to hiring).
• Annual medical clearance to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
• Completion of CAL FIRE Firefighter Academy (FFA) and Company Officer Academy (COA) training during the probationary period as a condition of employment.
• Maintenance of the Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy.

Pay

$6,932.00 - $8,997.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Schedule

Permanent, full-time position. Work location: Santa Cruz County (in-office, no telework).
