Forensics - Insurance and Federal Claims Services - Insurance Adjuster - Manager
About the role
EY's Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice specializes in helping clients achieve their financial recovery goals following disaster events such as hurricanes, fires, tornadoes, cyber incidents, and other catastrophic losses. We assist some of the most complex public and private sector entities with insurance recovery, claims preparation, compliance, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients' risk management teams, C-suite executives, operations and other key stakeholders, assisting them to recover from property damage, business interruption, and other types of covered losses.
- Provide comprehensive financial, economic and strategic advice to companies with complex disaster recovery and insurance claims.
- Read, summarize and provide advice to clients regarding multiple types of insurance policies and their coverages.
- Develop claim strategies based on the insurance policy and claim type.
- Navigate how to properly track and place costs within the parameters of the policy for claim preparation.
- Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence will be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Economics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of commercial insurance claims experience.
- Experience as a Property Adjuster, General Adjuster, Executive General Adjuster, Large Loss Adjuster, Complex Claims Specialist, Business Interruption Adjuster, or similar claims professional.
- Strong understanding of commercial property, business interruption, extra expense, cyber, builder's risk, or other first-party insurance claims.
- Experience managing large and complex losses involving multiple stakeholders.
- Achieved a professional designation, such as CPCU, CPA, CFE, CFF.
- Strong project management and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading teams.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,800 to $192,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,700 to $218,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
