About the role

Baylor University Medical Center (Baylor Dallas) is a major patient care, teaching, and research center located in Dallas, Texas. Established in 1903, it has grown to 914 licensed beds, serving over 300,000 people annually and housing more than 20 medical specialty centers.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic examinations for the collection and preservation of evidence for sexual assault cases
• Provide follow-up care to patients
• Participate in the judicial process and provide expert testimony and witnessing

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Field of study: Nursing
• Must have either CA-SANE or SANE-A certification
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a RN
• Hold a BLS certificate

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse License

Skills

• Knowledge of patient needs and healthcare environments
• Ability to delegate interventions based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient conditions, and employee competencies
