About the role
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN Forensic Nurse Examiner role with flexible scheduling, including night and weekend on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients impacted by sexual assault, child maltreatment, elder abuse, and related forensic issues.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, advocacy programs, and community agencies.
- Offer assessments, evidence collection, documentation, and expert testimony in court.
- Conduct thorough forensic examinations.
- Develop individualized care plans.
- Document interventions and ensure chain of custody.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, effective communication, and patient education.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience.
- Ability to meet medium‑heavy physical demands.
- Willingness to work with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Maryland.
- Eligibility or certification as a Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE).
- CPR certification.
