About the role

We are seeking a Manager with five or more years of experience (public accounting preferred) to join our Investigative Accounting Group in a flexible, hybrid work environment. The role primarily involves working with commercial property insurers to evaluate physical damage and business income losses from catastrophic events. Projects may include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing historical financial and industry information
  • Revenue and expense projections
  • Insurance claim evaluations
  • Economic damage evaluations
  • Fraud and fidelity examinations
  • Forensic examinations

Assignments span diverse industries, from small local retail stores to multinational entities. The role also provides expertise in fraud services, litigation support, dispute resolution, and catastrophic response.

Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple, concurrent assignments
  • Supervising the analysis and schedule preparation of staff
  • Building technical accounting skills and understanding of complex property damage, business interruption, and extra expense claims
  • Developing business contacts and networking
  • Recruiting, training, and developing staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • CPA license preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed (~20%)

Successful candidates are outgoing, self-motivated, and possess strong analytical skills. A genuine interest in forensic accounting and litigation support services is essential.

Pay

Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $110,000 and $140,000, with additional incentive and bonus opportunities for exceptional performance.
