Foreman Underground Construction

About the role

The Underground Construction Foreman will oversee excavation and construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, and other heavy equipment.
• Supervise a five-person crew to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
• Read and interpret grade stakes and blueprints.
• Manage trench boxes and dewatering systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients, city officials, and other Hypower employees.
• Work flexible hours including day and night shifts.
• Perform physical labor as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of operating experience.
• Knowledge of trench boxes and dewatering systems.
• Valid CDL (preferred).
• Windows-based computer skills for timesheets and paperwork.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Decision-making ability in the field.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have 5 years of operating experience.
• Be able to read grade stakes and interpret grades.
• Must have knowledge of working with trench boxes and dewatering systems.
• Have a valid CDL is a plus.
• Operate a windows based computer to keep timesheets and daily paperwork.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Be able to make decisions in the field to take corrective actions necessary for job duties.
• Be able to communicate with not only others inside of Hypower but with the city and client officials.
• Work schedule can be day and or night shifts.
• Must be willing to work with construction crews, doing physical labor if required.
