Job Overview

Job Summary

The Foreman at Primoris Energy Services is responsible for leading and supervising a crew of workers on construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves direct oversight of daily operations, adherence to project specifications, and effective communication with project management and team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed according to plans and schedules.
  • Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety briefings and hazard assessments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress, personnel, equipment, and materials used.
  • Train and mentor new team members on job-specific tasks and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that arise among crew members or on the job site.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
  • Operate various construction equipment and machinery as needed.
  • Order materials and supplies as needed, coordinating with procurement.

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED required; an associate's degree or trade certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • A strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations (OSHA 10/30 certification preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to effectively manage a team and motivate workers.
  • Proficient in using various hand and power tools common in construction.
  • Able to operate heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
