We are seeking a Pavement Markings Foreman to join our highway striping team and uphold our core values of increasing road safety and delivering precision and excellence.
About the role
This full-time, exempt position involves leading a highway striping crew to install thermoplastic, waterborne paint, epoxy, and other pavement marking materials while ensuring compliance with DOT and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead highway striping crew to install pavement marking materials
- Assign work to laborers based on material and job requirements
- Navigate to and from work sites and coordinate daily progress with Supervisor
- Evaluate situations and suggest changes to improve crew efficiency
- Record daily job information including labor hours, production quantities, material usage, and equipment data
- Ensure layout is performed according to specifications and DOT/quality guidelines
- Verify quantities daily and ensure satisfaction of DOT/private inspectors
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms and maintain vehicle cleanliness and functionality
- Control traffic in and around work zones
- Monitor health and safety standards, ensuring crews have proper safety equipment
- Educate and train laborers in proper layout and equipment use
Requirements
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and previous crew management experience in the paving industry
- Stamina to meet demanding schedules, including frequent long hours, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Must pass pre-employment background checks for criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience working with mechanics
- Ability to adapt to the latest technology, including smartphones and applications
- Good interpersonal and written skills
- CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement
- ATSSA Certified Basic Flagger
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and move 50–100 pounds; occasionally lift and move more than 100 pounds
- Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving equipment, machinery parts, traffic, fumes, and airborne particles
- Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment
Availability
- Monday–Friday, with some nights and weekends required
- Must be able to work overtime and travel when necessary
