Responsibilities

  • Leading, training, and mentoring the project crew
  • Prioritizing and delegating responsibilities
  • Communicating with the tradespeople on the job site
  • Tracking project schedules to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Serving as a Lead Technical resource on assigned projects
  • Reporting on job status and performance
  • Controlling job costs
  • Developing and maintaining productive relationships with peers, customers, General Contractors (GCs), and subcontractors
  • Ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices, including vehicle safety
  • Ensuring compliance with Installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time and attendance, etc.
  • Might oversee third-party resources
  • Directing and overseeing the work of other apprentices and journeymen assigned to specific projects

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school
  • A college degree is preferred
  • At least 6 years of experience directly in commercial/industrial refrigeration installation
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours
  • Ability to organize tasks
  • Ability to use good judgment in making work assignments
  • Ability to give clear instructions and guidance, as needed
  • Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and comply with Safety policies
  • Understanding and following all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable State and Federal laws
  • Track record of punctuality and dependability
  • Ability to use computer tools including E-Mail, Word, Project Planning Software (Projectmates), etc.
  • Ability to manage time, delegate assignments, and ensure good results
