FOREMAN - GRADING

Responsibilities

• Plan daily for labor, equipment, tools, and material needs.
• Follow the required work plan for the activities being performed.
• Complete work plans as directed and ensure the crew is not idle.
• Communicate with supervisor on daily work assignments and advise when activities are completed or additional assignments are needed.
• Coordinate with crew, other Foremen, and Superintendents to complete required tasks as a team.
• Complete the Crew Daily Reports as required.
• Track crew hours, equipment hours, material, and quantities on a daily basis.
• Perform daily JHA’s and Toolbox Safety Talks with crew(s).
• Hold crew accountable to work safely and ensure PPE is utilized as required.
• Communicate layout requirements in advance of scheduled work.
• Assist Superintendents and PM with 3-week lookahead schedules and work planning.
• Understand the production requirements of the work.
• Ensure daily equipment inspections are completed and submitted to the management team.
• Pre-plan utility locates and ensure the project is accurately marked prior to starting work.
• Coordinate with inspectors as needed.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers to perform QC inspections of the work to avoid rework.
• Execute pre-pour checklists in advance of major pours.
• Inspect formwork, clearance, rebar, mix designs, and other plan and specification requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineers on Plans and Specifications for the work being performed.

Requirements

• Basic ability to use and/or learn MS Word, Excel, and COINS Systems.
• Willing and able to manage crews.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Team player and self-motivated to be successful.
• Travel required.
• Legally able to work in the US.
• Valid Driver’s License.
