FOREMAN - DRAINAGE

About the role

The Pipe/Utility Foreman at United Infrastructure Group (UIG) is responsible for supervising field operations on various projects. This role involves direct oversight of the pipe/utility crew and participation in their work.

Responsibilities

• Follow all OSHA and company policies to ensure safety and minimize accidents and injuries.
• Schedule and plan work for both oneself and the pipe/utility crew.
• Directly supervise the pipe/utility crew and report to Superintendents.
• Install water, sewer, and storm drain systems according to plans and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with inspectors and report on time and materials.
• Oversee the execution of site safety procedures and provide on-site guidance and training.
• Perform proper trenching methods and adhere to trenching safety protocols.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders as needed.
• Manage a crew of 5-6 employees with minimal supervision.
• Understand and apply basic cost control, equipment operations, and project requirements.
• Effectively manage the work plan and crew.

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience as a Pipe/Utility Foreman in site development.
• Experience with bridge/heavy highway construction in a Leadman/Foreman I role.
• Minimum of five years of experience in this role.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Skills Required

• Able to read plans and perform simple layout with minimal supervision.
• Understand the basics of cost control, equipment operations, and project requirements.
• Effectively manage a crew of 5-6 employees with minimal supervision.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders.
• Understand and perform proper trenching methods and follow trenching safety protocols.
