About the role
The Pipe/Utility Foreman at United Infrastructure Group will supervise field operations, directly oversee and regulate activities of the pipe/utility crew, and possibly participate in the work of the employees they are supervising. This role requires adherence to OSHA and company policies to minimize accidents and injuries.
Responsibilities
- Read and perform simple layout with minimal supervision
- Plan and schedule own work and crews on a daily/weekly basis
- Directly supervise pipe/utility crew and report to Superintendents
- Have experience with installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems
- Read plans and understand materials needed to accomplish tasks
- Work with and communicate with Inspectors
- Report on time and materials
- Oversee site safety procedures and provide on-site guidance and training
- Perform proper trenching methods and follow trenching safety protocol
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders
- Manage work plan and crew of 5-6 employees with minimal supervision
- Understand cost control, equipment operations, and project requirements
- Effectively manage work plan and crew of 5-6 employees with minimal supervision
- Have prior experience as a Pipe/Utility Foreman in site development
- Have supervisory experience in bridge/heavy highway construction
- Have valid driver's license and good driving record
Qualifications & Experience
- Able to read plans and perform simple layout with minimal supervision

- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders
- Prior experience as a Pipe/Utility Foreman in site development
