Foreman - Crew Chief

Olympia Moving & Storage is hiring Crew Chiefs for residential, commercial, and specialty moves.

Compensation

• Hourly wage: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000, paid during year 1 for qualified crew chiefs.
• Top crew chiefs (foremen) earn $70,000 – $130,000 per year, including wages, tips, referral incentives, and bonuses.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation to the branch location and a valid driver’s license.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background investigation.
• Above‑average energy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50 – 75+ pounds regularly.
• Ability to be on your feet 6 to 10 hours a day.
• Team player ready to tackle challenges.
• Availability for early‑morning dispatch.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Represent Olympia Moving to the best of your ability.
• Lead, train, and mentor a moving team.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact and communicate with clients.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and staff.
• Use resources to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
• Perform residential and commercial moving jobs.
• Train and coach others on packing household items, including books, dishes, and antiques.
• Assist and direct the team in carrying heavy items up and down stairs.
• Protect the home (doors, stairs, floors, walls) and furniture/equipment with moving pads.
• Train and assist others on best practices for disassembling and re‑assembling furniture and equipment.
• Complete billing, paperwork, inventories, and reporting on a mobile platform.
