Foreman - Aggregate Operations

About the role

Martin Marietta is seeking a Foreman to supervise operational activities for Des Moines Portable 1, overseeing plant production, plant maintenance, and mobile equipment operations across multiple sites including Winterset, IA; Springfield, NE; and Fort Calhoun West, NE, with regular travel between locations required. The role operates frequently in open‑pit quarry operations and maintenance environments, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for training and development of team, scheduling, performance management and effective leadership of the hourly workforce
• Successfully implement the Company’s safety and environmental processes
• Successfully lead and manage to established production, safety and environmental objectives and metrics
• Be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Be proficient on PC, including MS Office, Aggflow and similar programs
• Be a positive leader within the team
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience in aggregate operations
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years related experience
• Previous supervisory experience in a mining environment
• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1‑year supervisory experience in a mining environment
