Aggregate Foreman
About the Role
As an Aggregate Foreman with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will supervise daily aggregate operations, lead production crews, and ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations. This role oversees personnel, equipment, production activities, and material flow while making daily decisions to support operational goals and quality standards. You will work closely with the crew, lead by example, assist with hands-on tasks when needed, and perform various activities required in aggregate operations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct operations in coordination with the Plant Manager and Operations Coordinator.
- Review daily equipment inspection reports and respond accordingly.
- Monitor all plant personnel to ensure training, safety, production, and staffing needs are met.
- Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately.
- Responsible for maintaining the quality of all products.
- Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established.
- Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed.
Requirements
- Proven ability to develop relationships and work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
- Working knowledge of customer specifications to ensure quality and avoid re-work or punch list work.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; building rapport, listening, presenting, giving and receiving feedback.
- High standard of ethics, integrity, and trust.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Moderate travel required; must be willing to work in or travel to other locations as needed.
- Must be available as needed during non-traditional work hours.
- Ability to work independently and with groups.
- Ability to work under time constraints as needed.
- 1-2 years of previous quarry/mining experience preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience in plant maintenance/preventive maintenance.
