About the role
Pennymac is a specialty financial services firm focusing on U.S. mortgage loans and investments. As a Foreclosure Specialist II, you will manage foreclosure cases, document preparation, stakeholder communication, compliance, and process management.
Responsibilities
- Foreclosure Case Management: Manage a caseload of foreclosure accounts, review loan documentation, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with policies and investor guidelines.
- Document Preparation: Oversee the preparation and execution of legal documents like filings and deeds for judicial foreclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate and collaborate with external parties including attorneys, property preservation vendors, and other service providers, requiring strong professional communication and negotiation skills.
- Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure foreclosure actions are accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and investor requirements. Provide guidance on best practices and regulatory changes.
- Financial Calculations: Manage financial calculations such as judgment figures and bid amounts, analyze data to determine the best course of action.
- Process Management: Identify process improvements and contribute to developing departmental policies and procedures.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to Entry-Level Foreclosure Specialists, supporting their professional development and enhancing team efficiency.
- Special Projects: Participate in and/or lead special projects related to foreclosure processes, compliance, or system enhancements.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist or two years in a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor requirements related to foreclosure.
- Proven ability to manage complex foreclosure cases and resolve escalated issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership skills and a willingness to mentor junior staff.
Qualifications
