Responsibilities
- Manage foreclosure and litigation matters from initial intake through resolution.
- Analyze new files, develop legal strategies, and prepare budgets in a timely manner.
- Draft a wide range of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and client correspondence.
- Review chain of title, foreclosure documentation, pleadings, and related legal records.
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances throughout Oregon (Washington experience is a plus).
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members.
- Research and analyze federal, state, and local laws, providing practical legal recommendations.
- Prepare reports, legal opinions, and compliance-related documentation.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Oregon Bar license in good standing required.
- Washington Bar admission is a plus.
- Two or more years of experience in foreclosure, mortgage servicing, creditors' rights, real estate litigation, or related civil litigation preferred.
- Strong legal research and writing skills with experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Experience appearing in court and handling hearings independently.
- Ability to effectively prioritize a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Westlaw and/or LexisNexis, and other legal technology platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
