About the role
The Store Manager is a leader within the For Eyes organization, responsible for delivering key performance indicators and ensuring flawless execution of the customer experience. This role involves recruiting and hiring associates with a passion for optics, coaching and developing team members, and linking the doctor and retail functions seamlessly.
Responsibilities
- Convey a commitment to providing great customer service through the For Eyes team’s execution of the Simple Sales Process.
- Provide effective on-the-job training and guidance to team members using company-provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner to all retail associates.
- Address performance issues directly and initiate disciplinary action when necessary, monitoring progress.
- Conduct Meaningful Conversations to elevate associate satisfaction, performance, and results.
- Drive profitable personal sales, modeling leadership and fostering a retail selling culture.
- Analyze store financial data and recommend steps to improve profitability on the retail side of the business.
- Strive to exceed all targets set for key performance indicators, including NPS and Google Ratings.
- Execute staffing and onboarding according to guidelines.
- Perform administrative duties, including payroll, inventory management, and technical applications.
- Complete and file all necessary store and customer paperwork accurately and on time.
- Lead the partnership with the Doctor of Optometry and co-planning efforts.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding loss prevention.
- Prepare and execute physical inventory per company guidelines.
- Execute the Inventory Management System and Order Tracker as part of global POS.
- Ensure all company-approved safety programs are implemented and maintained consistently.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 3+ years as an optical associate or non-optical retail management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of operations, processes, and business implications.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
- Team building and management skills.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Sales skills and familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
- Organization skills and knowledge of current store merchandise.
- High level of business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent.
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
- Previous experience in customer service and retail.
Pay
$29.35 - $50.80 per hour. Employee pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
