Footwear Product Developer 2

About the role
Manage highly technical and complex footwear products from design phase through to production readiness. Collaborate with Design, Product Management, Engineering, Materials Development, and Manufacturing teams to deliver innovative products to the mountain athlete.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine footwear designs
- Work closely with materials development to ensure product quality and sustainability
- Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and consumer needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective production
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Support the testing and validation of new products
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in footwear development or related field
- Strong understanding of footwear design principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with product development lifecycle management tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Passion for outdoor activities and a deep understanding of the mountain athlete's needs
- Experience with product development software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
- Knowledge of sustainable materials and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of regulatory standards and industry certifications

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is USD$82,000 - USD$103,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
Schedule
This role is based out of our Portland office and is expected to be performed on-location.
