Footwear Product Developer

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive product and process excellence within a team environment for your assigned projects.
  • Working on complex footwear projects, you will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business.
  • You will utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence.
  • You'll engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets.
  • Ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Engineering or related field. Will accept suitable combination of education, experience or training with footwear experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of footwear pattern engineering, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • A minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience.
  • Effective Collaborator adept at working productively within a team.
  • Experience building trust to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, driving consensus, and influencing others.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work streams and competing priorities.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Proven Ability to identify and suggest cost effective solutions in footwear is preferred.
  • Experience in project management, problem-solving scenarios and applying solutions.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated Self Starter that is willing to learn and grow.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, test methods, and properties and application.
