Football, Pooled Positions (SY 26 - 27)
Responsibilities
As Head Coach, responsibilities include maintaining high academic standards for all student athletes, hiring and retaining assistant coaches, directing and evaluating assistant coaches, and working cooperatively with the athletic director and other head coaches. The Head Coach will also direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity athletic team, lead and supervise assistant coaches, and act as a positive influence on the behavior of members of the athletic staff and teams.
- Assist in maintaining high academic standards for all student athletes
- Hire and retain assistant coaches
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate the performance of all assistant coaches
- Work cooperatively with the athletic director to assure proper insurance coverage for all athletes
- Foster an appreciation of the values of athletics, a desire to win, and good sportsmanship among participants and spectators
- Direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity athletic team
- Supervise athletes at invitational meets or post-season competition
- Advise the athletic director on schedules, official selection, and equipment needs
- Provide for the inventory and care of equipment
- Ensure all athletes have undergone and passed medical examinations before the regular practice season begins
As Assistant Coach, responsibilities include working cooperatively with the head athletic coach, attending staff meetings, carrying out specific duties designated by the head coach, and recommending equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.

Qualifications
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport on high school or college levels
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in a current course
- Preferred experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools
- Preferred Virginia Teaching License candidate or full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools
