Football Cheer Coach

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cheer routines, foster team spirit, and promote a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes.
• Coach and train cheerleaders, teaching and reinforcing cheer techniques, safety protocols, and conditioning exercises.
• Choreograph sideline cheers, halftime performances, and routines for pep rallies, parades, and school events.
• Work, plan, and communicate effectively with assistant coaches during the season.
• Supervise cheerleaders before and during games, ensuring they maintain high energy and support for the teams.
• Cook up and coordinate logistics for cheerleading at home and away games, including Section and State tournaments, managing logistics of transportation, meals, lodging, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous cheerleading coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunts, and routines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
