Football, Assistant Coach - with Stipend

About the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for directing, or assisting to direct, a competitive football program and meeting the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) requirements for the program. The coach is both a mentor and positive role model for all students with which they interact.

Responsibilities

  • Build a positive working relationship with students, school staff, administration, parents, and the community.
  • Develop young athletes while building a strong, positive, and competitive team culture that includes good sportsmanship and excellence in the classroom.
  • Mentor, train, and educate athletes in the sport and the necessary skills and techniques related to football.
  • Foster excellence and a winning culture both on and off the field.
  • Train and educate student athletes in safety and injury prevention.
  • Maintain knowledge of UHSAA requirements and regulations.
  • Continue a program with strong traditions and work effectively with an involved community.

Requirements

  • Cleared background check through Granite School District (cost covered by the district).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of multiple trainings and certifications, including anti-bullying/hazing training, concussion training, and First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Prior coaching experience preferred.

Pay

Stipend only.

Current teachers under contract with Granite School District do not need to apply to be a coach. Please contact the school and make them aware of your coaching interest.
