About the role

This position is for a Football Assistant Coach at Lely High School during the Fall season.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
• 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff)
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. Note: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED)

• The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates: 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.) and 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate
• WHO NEEDS IT? Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate. Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification.
