Food Services Supervisor

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervises the activities of inmate kitchen workers.
• Captains the preparation and cooking through the supervision of inmate kitchen worker cooks and helpers.
• Coordinates the supervision of all other inmate kitchen workers in the carrying out of their duties under the guidance of the Director Food Services or Assistant Director Food Services.
• Completes tasks and projects as assigned, including conducting in-service training for Food Service personnel and inmate kitchen workers on food, sanitation, safety, and hygiene.
• May fill in for the Assistant Director Food Services as required.

Qualification Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience is beneficial.
• A criminal history check will be completed.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stands, walks, sits, talks, and hears.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
• Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Reaches with hands or arms.
• Stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception are required.

Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
