Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for Food Service Substitute Workers for the 2026-2027 school year.

Schedule

• 3.75 hours per day
• Start time varies, depending on location assigned to
• District-wide locations

Pay

$16.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of assigned duties to measure out and prepare foods according to established recipes
• Serve and clean work and dining areas
• Prepare and serve food for Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack Bars (if applicable)
• Operate equipment such as ovens, steam tables, peelers, can openers, mixers, knives, spoons, ladles, grills, meat slicers, steamers, and registers
• Cook various meats, mix ingredients, wash and peel vegetables, open cans, make desserts, salads, and sandwiches
• Serve Breakfast and Lunch to faculty and students, following portion instructions
• Scrape pans, wash pots and pans, sweep floors, clean dining tables, and set up stations with napkins, straws, etc.
• Carry food to or from coolers or refrigerators, store excess foods, and clean all kitchen and Snack Bar equipment (if applicable)
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
• Attend training meetings to stay updated on changes and improvements
