Shift: Day (Full‑time – days, hours will vary)

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient trays during meal service within established time frames, ensuring therapeutic accuracy, quality, freshness, taste, and appearance standards are met.
• Announce self before entering a room using the AIDET protocols.
• Assist patients with trays when assistance is requested.
• Provide patient‑focused customer service using the ICARE service protocols.
• Understand nutrition and discuss appropriate menu selections with patients to meet therapeutic diet requirements when required.
• Respond promptly to nursing staff needs for patient food care.
• Deliver tube feeds to the appropriate galley.
• Stock and restock the assigned workstation of the tray line during meal service and at the end of the shift.
• Adhere to all Maricopa County Health Department Food Code sanitation standards and maintain the assigned work area accordingly.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Preferred: Technical training diploma/degree, vocational or specialized training, coursework in Food and Nutrition.

Licenses and Certifications

• Food Service – Food Handlers Card.
• Food Handler’s Card.
