About the role

The Food Services Driver position is responsible for coordinating with other food service employees to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals to meet meal service times and satellite delivery schedules. This role involves operating a food service vehicle to transport meals and supplies safely, loading and unloading vehicles, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with other food service employees to prepare and deliver meals on time.
• Prepares simple starches, cleans and prepares fruits and vegetables, and assists with meal preparation for students with dietary needs.
• Operates a food service vehicle to transport meals and supplies safely, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Reviews and verifies meal counts and temperatures for accuracy.
• Sets up serving counters, serves students and staff, and replenishes food and supplies as needed.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and equipment.
• Receives and stores food supplies according to guidelines, and reports discrepancies to the manager.
• Maintains a food service vehicle by performing basic maintenance tasks.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in training sessions.

Requirements

Applicants must have the ability to read, write, and understand oral and written English, follow oral and written instructions, and perform simple arithmetic. They should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid driver's license.
