Food Service Worker I - Virginia Peterson Elementary School

Under the direction of the Director of Food Services and general supervision, the Food Service Worker performs a wide variety of duties related to student meals at all levels of enrollment and other related tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to students in accordance with established guidelines and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, serving areas, and equipment.
• Assist in inventory control and ordering of food and supplies.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduation or equivalent (required).
• At least one year of paid food service work experience (individuals with relevant knowledge and abilities may be considered).
• Serve Safe Certification.

Pay

Classified Salary Schedule #3, Range 16: $19.09 - $25.59 per hour.

Schedule

• 193 days per year / 10 months.
• 5 hours daily.
• Part-time employment.
