Come join our team at Parkland Health Center as a Food Service Worker I. As part of BJC HealthCare, Parkland Health Center offers a unique combination of world-class medicine along with deep local roots and a rich history spanning over a century in southeastern Missouri. We have two locations in St. Francois County—Farmington (a full-service acute care hospital) and Bonne Terre (a rural emergency hospital)—providing quality inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, oncology, infusion, wound care, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. The Dietary Department supports the nutritional well-being of patients, visitors, guests, and staff daily.
About the Role
Daily pay available. Full-time positions with flexible shifts: 5:30 AM–2 PM or 11:30 AM–8 PM, including evening cross-training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner, following food safety and portion guidelines.
- Assembles meals according to the menu, diet order, and correct protocol.
- Ensures work area is set up and supplies/products are organized before, during, and after shift.
- Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
- Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
- Performs food preparation at some locations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required; no supervisory experience required.
