Food Service Worker-1

Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Part-time, Rotating Shift, Food Service Worker for the Food Services Department. Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team who offer support to the team and contribute in multiple ways, such as delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food according to dietary guidelines, safety and customer preferences
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
• Wash dishes
• Work as a cashier
• Meet utility needs
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld
• Deliver food to patients in different aspects of the food service delivery

Requirements

• Food Handlers Card - Certification as required by the local Health Department
• Food service experience (Preferred)
• Customer Service experience (Preferred)

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
