Food Service Worker 1

About the role
This position focuses on preparing meals, serving residents, and keeping food service areas clean and safe. You will support daily routines that ensure proper nutrition, sanitary conditions, and dependable food delivery.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble food items, beverages, and nourishment supplies
- Meal Service: Set up serving carts, place food items on trays, and deliver meals to residents
- Diet Support: Read and follow diet codes, menu tickets, and special meal requirements
- Sanitation Tasks: Clean dishes, equipment, tables, and food preparation areas
- Safety Practices: Follow safety rules, maintain proper protective equipment, and report hazards
- Record Keeping: Document temperatures, inventory use, meal counts, and other required information
Schedule
- Part-time employment, 20 hours per week
- Work hours are 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, alternating weekends and holidays
- No telework option available
Pay
Hourly rate details will be provided via email. In some cases, the starting hourly rate may be non-negotiable.
Requirements
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
- Under the Older Adult Protective Services Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous food service worker experience (not required)
