FOOD SERVICE TECHNICIAN I
Multiple positions available in San Luis Obispo County. This is a 12-month limited-term, full-time, in-office role at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
About the role
The Food Service Technician I will be directed by the Food Service Supervisor I/II and/or Supervising Cook I/II in Nutrition Services at ASH. To be considered, applicants must have eligibility via a certification list, transfer eligibility, or reinstatement eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the preparation and distribution of food and beverages.
- Assist with the production and distribution of food while adhering to requirements for physical exertion, infection control, and food safety/Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Maintain order, cleanliness, and sanitation in assigned area of responsibility.
- Adhere to requirements for safety, security, emergency response, a non-hostile work environment, and rights of patients.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities and other miscellaneous responsibilities.
Pay
$3,329.00 - $4,163.00 per month.
