Position Summary
Additional responsibilities include:- Implementation of sanitation procedures
- Safety and security of all food service areas
- Education, training, scheduling, and supervision of food service staff and resident food service workers
- Management of cafeteria operations and diet processing under pre-established guidelines and policies of WRC/WWRC.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $29.00 and $31.00 per hour (approximately between $60,300 and $64,400 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date. DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. DHS is not an E-Verify employer nor a STEM-OPT eligible employer.Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will have all of the following:- Experience working in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., monitoring personnel workload, resolving conflict, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, or training other staff, etc.)
- Experience with food service, food production or use of food service techniques (e.g., portion control, weights and measures, food styling, food storage, etc.)
- Experience performing customer service tasks (e.g., responding to inquiries, explaining procedures, resolving issues, etc.)
- Experience working in large quantity food service
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or other computer software for email correspondence, document creation, etc.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to track quality improvement and performance measures
- Experience tracking and verifying that required food service documentation is complete and accurate (e.g., temperature logs, inventory counts, special menu requests, etc.)
