Food Service Leader
About the Role
If you are a high-energy, outgoing person who loves to help others and work as part of a team, this leadership role in our food operation may be ideal for you. You will assist with managing the location’s food business, ensuring high-quality food is delivered quickly and efficiently while guiding team members on food safety and presentation to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
- Manage food stock levels, food costs, waste, preparation, presentation, and food safety requirements for hot and cold prepared food and beverage items.
- Oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the food service area and equipment, adhering to standard food safety protocols.
- Meet company goals for food sales (e.g., pizza, breakfast sandwiches, coffee).
- Provide training, feedback, coaching, and direction to team members on food preparation and food safety requirements.
- Maintain relationships with third-party vendors on food safety measures, including monitoring and training on proper temperatures, holding times, and waste processes (recordkeeping).
- Maintain proper stock levels and rotation of all food products, including sandwich cases, warmers, pizza, chili, condiments, and pastry cases.
- Process guest transactions efficiently and friendly to minimize wait time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Guest Service Leader.

Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School or GED.
- Minimum Experience: 6 months of retail or food experience.
- Preferred Experience: 1 year in retail, service, or restaurant environment.
- Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills
- Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members.
- High energy and ability to multitask efficiently.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to help others.
Schedule
This position is available both part-time (up to 29 hours) and full-time (32-40 hours). Hours vary, including day, night, weekends, and holidays, as Cumberland Farms locations may be open 24 hours depending on the store.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, and grip.
- Ability to work in cooler environments (cold temperatures).
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Specialized work attire (e.g., hats, visors, gloves) will be provided.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we’re sharing the base salary range for this position. Final pay within this range will be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
