Essential Responsibilities
- Drive van on route making predetermined stops according to schedule
- Load and unload meals on the van
- Pick up and/or delivery of donated items as assigned
- Complete daily maintenance check of van and report problems to designated person
- Maintain cleanliness of van while on route and thoroughly clean truck after route is completed
- Safely operate vehicle and follow all ruling road
Additional Responsibilities
- Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission and Positional Statements
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light policies and procedures

- Ability to get along with people

- Good communication skills
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop and stand for long periods of time
- Frequent filling, shifting, and moving of pots and equipment
- Safe operation of a motor vehicle in accordance with the MDOT regulations
Work Environment
- Ability to adapt to rapid temperature changes and work in temperature extremes
- Exposure to smoke, steam, cleaning chemical fumes, food allergens, airborne eye, ear, nose, and throat irritants
