Food Service Associate - Weekend

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver patient meals within strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction for food and nutrition.
• Prepare and assemble meals; assist with dishwashing and utility work and/or handle the register.
• Maintain compliance with the diet prescription and obtain patient preferences within that diet.
• Operate the register when assigned, according to established procedures, including correct close-out and deposit steps and completion of over-ring error slips.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment, including cooking equipment, work stations, refrigerators, and food warmers.
• Perform routine sanitation assignments such as sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and completion of the daily checklist.
• Complete and maintain proper documentation of dishmachine temperatures, chemical logs, food temperatures, late tray logs, and the pantry supply sheet for dry and cold items delivered.
• Post menu board and signage as assigned.
• Prepare and serve food accurately following menu and portion guides.
• Complete pre-portioning of desserts and other foods as assigned.
• Stock station with food, supplies, and other needed items.
• Inspect china for cleanliness and chippings.
• Deliver and pick up food trucks according to schedule and deliver Child Care meals as assigned.
• Adhere to proper food handling methods as required by local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follow all HACCP, Aide, and HIPAA guidelines, including proper hand washing, personal hygiene, food production, storage, labeling and dating, recording accurate temperatures on a timely basis, and cleaning and sanitation.
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Some experience in food service.

Pay

Minimum rate of $17.62 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for its team members.
