Food Service Associate
About the role
The Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing and serving food under the direction of the Food Service Manager. Essential duties include guest care and advocacy, compliance and risk management, and additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and serves food in accordance with food safety requirements and departmental procedures.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen by using proper food handling techniques.
- Ensures all food is dated and disposed of after sell date.
- Monitors refrigerator temperature and documents on daily temperature log.
- Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of six (6) months of food service experience.
- Familiarity with Food Safety Regulations.
- Strong Organization Skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
- If driving is required, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy.
- Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active and valid Food Handler’s Certification required.
Skills
- Strong Organization Skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.

Pay
$15 - $16 per hour
Schedule
Monday-Friday 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM. Flexibility based on business needs.
Physical Demands
- May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
- Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing/balancing on a step stool to reach supplies/equipment, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses.
- May be required to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work Environment
May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility where some hazardous conditions may exist.
